Skype must be one of the most popular (if it’s not itself the most popular) free online communication program. It allows you to make voice and video calls to any of your contacts and IM them whether they are on an Android, iPhone, Pc or Mac.
Other features of this really cool app (which you m ay already know of) include: making low cost calls and SMS’s to mobiles or landlines even from your phone or tablet, sending videos, pictures and files to any of your contacts, and, something that is quite helpful, I rate, is that you are able to sign into Skype with your Microsoft account, therefore this will allow you to have and account your Hotmail, Messenger and Outlook in one place.
The best thing about Skype is that you are able to keep in contact with your family and friends even when you are far away from each other – via skype calls. Even though the quality of the video is not the best, the sound is excellent, maybe due to the app’s new codec, Silk.
Skype for Android has really come a long way, supporting many more devices than it used to; in addition, it now has a great design, clean sound quality and impressive video quality – the perfect tool to keep in touch with your contacts!
